Last week I had a conversation with a General Manager who is based at a Park Lane Hotel; who let me know that business meeting bookings seemed strong until January 2022. Often with less than six weeks lead time.

September and May are usually strong months for bookings; particularly for awards and conferences coupled with UK Association bookings which also seem strong. As Associations are committed to their memberships when it comes to delivering awards and conferences.   I have harnessed these three strengths; May, awards and conferences and Associations. To take check on the temperature for May 2022.

This is not a comparison or benchmark about the strength of business
booked at LONDON venues, reported by London venues.

Instead it is a reliable indicator; when it comes to future prediction based on the buyer being the end user sharing their intentions.

Due to the complexity of dates, as we reset coming out of the pandemic. To keep tabs on what is happening NEXT May; it has been necessary to span May for last two years.
May 2020 when venues were closed.
May 2021 when venues were closed.
and yesterday (Monday 27 September 2021) when this snapshot was recorded.
To help us to look forward to how things stand
(from the base point of yesterday) in May 2022.

In essence this is what Moneypennies Conference and Awards Buyers research has always done and continues to do, albeit with ADDITIONAL points of insights.  So that we can keep contact and event information up to date and relevant. With the purpose of helping Venues, Event Agencies and Event Suppliers GROW their bookings. The strength lies in knowing the (name of last LONDON venue booked). In relation to the date so that they can see at a glance the status of the next booking.  To work out what action is necessary.

An extra level of complexity is also the delivery channel; encompassing the changes from Online to From Online Back to Venue often with two editions of the same event.  Such as recorded live from venue with an online edition available on demand.
